Oral Health Knowsley

We offer a range of support:

  • Oral Health awareness training for professionals.
  • Supervised toothbrushing training, resources and support.
  • Support for local and national campaigns and community-based events throughout the year.
  • Distribution of toothpaste & toothbrush packs to eligible settings.
  • Mouthcare matters training.

The oral health of children living in Knowsley remains an important concern, with the level of tooth decay, amongst children aged 5 years in Knowsley, significantly worse than both the North West and England averages.

Almost one in three adults in Knowsley has active decay. There is also a higher proportion of residents with dentures and bleeding gums than the regional and national average.
